Our Story

How it all started...

In May of 1981, a young minister and his wife sought a location to plant a church. Reverend and Mrs. Wayne I. Smith found a location in Silver Grove, Kentucky. As the Lord continued to bless the work started by Pastor Smith, The Silver Grove Community Church (Lighthouse) grew and eventually in early 1985 it had to move to Dayton, Kentucky, becoming The Dayton Gospel Lighthouse.

The first service in Dayton was a great Section U Youth Rally. After many years in service to the city of Dayton, the Dayton Gospel Lighthouse moved to Bellevue, Kentucky, in January of 2002 changing the name to The Apostolic Pentecostal Lighthouse. Later in 2007 the leadership of The Lighthouse decided to change the name of the church to reflect that we are more than just a church fellowship, but a group dedicated to serving the people of our community through our multiple ministry avenues. Lighthouse Ministries is currently located at 210 Poplar Street here in Bellevue, Kentucky.

Expanding the vision...

On March 15, 2015, Rev. & Sis Smith resigned as pastors of the Lighthouse after 34 years of pastoral service to focus on family and other areas of ministry.  The congregation of the Lighthouse unanimously elected Rev. Samuel J. Diedenhofer as their new pastor.

Where we are headed...

Today, Lighthouse Ministries of The Apostolic Faith is a growing United Pentecostal Church. We are conveniently located in the heart of Bellevue, Kentucky, just across the river from Downtown Cincinnati, OH. Please join us in prayer for revival along the River Banks.

Lighthouse Ministries extends it’s outreach to the majority of Campbell County, Kentucky including cities such as Dayton, Bellevue, Newport, Southgate, and Silver Grove.
